The Wooden Worm Digester is an easy to use system for recycling larger volumes of organic waste on-site.

The ‘Wooden Worm Digester’ provides an ideal environment for soil friendly microorganisms & bacteria to soften food for compost worms.

The worms turn organic waste to worm castings.
The worm castings are collected in the base tray.
To use: 1: 5 parts soil or potting mix.

Liquid worm tea drains into a tank.
To use: 1 – 5 parts water.
The worm tea can be used on most plants and trees or sold as a concentrated soil & plant nutrient. Can make 15 + litres per week.
Worms used are Tiger and Blue worms.

Worms consume up to their body weight in organic waste per day.

Three sizes:

1 x 1 metre accepts approx 6 litres per day
1 1.5 metre accepts approx 12litres per day
1 x 2 metre accepts approx 17litres per day

Tea, coffee grounds, vegetables, fruit, food leftovers, hand towels, lunch paper, shredded paper, cardboard, pre composted garden waste, animal bedding & manure.

WASTE USED IN SMALL AMOUNTS
Bread, pastry, meat, citrus, onions, compostable nappies, bags (cut up), spicy foods, crushed egg & sea shells.

AVOID
Large bones, plastic, play dough, fat, wooden spatula’s, oil, branches, foil, cans, etc
